About the Position
Mercure Wagga Wagga offers 86 comfortable and well-appointed hotel rooms and self-contained apartments, and is the perfect accommodation venue whether guests are travelling for business or leisure. Mercure Wagga also features the One Morgan St Bar & Restaurant as well as multiple function spaces available for anything from a business meeting to special events.We are currently looking for an experienced, passionate and driven individual to lead the Kitchen team.The role:You will be responsible for day-to-day running of kitchen operations - preparation of breakfast and dinner service.You will be passionate about your craft, displaying high standards of food production and presentation.You will have a excellent understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards.You will maintain sufficient food stock in the kitchen and place food orders with approved suppliers.To be successful in this role you will:have a current NSW Food Safety Certificate or be prepared to get one ASAP;have experience as a head chef, preferably in a hotel environment;have a positive, genuine, friendly and team focused attitude;have excellent organisational skills;be honest and reliable; and have the ability to establish effective communication with all departments as required in order to ensure the best outcomes for our guests.If you have the skills and experience for this position, .
